Step 3 · Lay Landscape Fabric

Unroll landscape fabric and lay it along the bottom of the trench, extending it up the sides. Ensure there's enough overlap to wrap the gravel and pipe later. The fabric acts as a filter, preventing soil from clogging the drainage system. Cut the fabric to size as needed.
