Step 5 · Position the Perforated Pipe

Place the 4-inch diameter perforated drain pipe on the gravel base. Ensure the pipe is centered in the trench and that the perforations (holes) are facing downwards to effectively collect subsurface water. Connect sections of pipe using appropriate couplings if necessary. The pipe should continue the established slope.
