Step 6 · Fill with Gravel

Add more clean, washed gravel (3/4 inch crushed stone) around and over the perforated pipe. Fill the trench until the gravel level is about 6 inches below the original ground surface. This gravel layer is the primary drainage medium. Ensure it completely encases the pipe.
